[CrackBerry Question]

Hi,

I migrated to BB Classic from a Curve; I have a problem with the vibrate profile though; for incoming call, it only vibrates once and that's it. Quite often I miss it - I'm used to have my phone set to vibrate only as I'm in a rather quiet office environment... also cinema etc where sound would be annoying, but I need the thing to keep vibrating to notice it. Is it just me/my phone? Any suggestions? thanks in advance for help...

You can't change that by the looks of it, I am running 10.3.1 and it doesn't give that option in app notification settings. Sorry can't answer why.

I have a Z30 and Z10 and on the vibrate profile it keeps vibrating multiple times... running 10.3.2

I think the request is for a vibrating notification that continues until cancelled?

Hub++ LED will do it.

Actually I just need it (registered here meanwhile) to keep it vibrating just as long as a normal ring would go... that's enough. It just vibrates once and then until the person hangs up or I pick the phone, it's just silent, no vibrations. This is driving me mad... do your phones behave the same way?

...few hours later, trying all I can think of in the notifications settings and close to throwing the thing against the wall. now it's more or less random, vibrates once in some cases, twice sometimes, most time it's just silent. Any suggestions? TIA

What version of bb10 are you running? As said in the above posts you won't have any success if you are running 10.3.1.

I do suggest having a look at the app Hub++ it is very good and will do what you want.

I even tried factory reset and wipe, still exactly the same - with a funny pattern - it vibrates once for a first call from a number, then keeps silent, and if the same number calls again, not even the first vibration. I'll try the HUB++ before sending it for warranty repair...

Ok, Hub++ did not help either - still behaving exactly the same. Going back for warranty repair. *Sigh*

It definitely sounds like just your phone. My Z10 and Passport both vibrate until the call ends.

Yeah, I just don't really understand the issue - if it would not vibrate at all, or would vibrate jsut randomly, I would understand it's a hardware issue. But it vibrates 1-3 times first time a given number calls, then goes silent for the rest of that call - and if the same number calls again, it's just silent - no vibes - all the time. This looks more like a SW issue but why it then persists after wipe/factory reset? well sent back so now someone else may scratch their heads

I'd recommend reloading the software before spending (possibly) weeks getting a replacement. This can be done using Link or an autoloader from the forum. I noticed odd issues with my Passport out of the box, and a reload solved them all.

My apologies Sturmpanzer, I did not get it.

I shut down hub++ and turned on vibrate, and my z30 vibrates continuously for an incoming call.

Try a restart, but probably a hardware issue.
