Make sure memory cleaning is set to "disable" as that will cause your BB to take awhile to boot up. Did that not knowing and was near 8 minutes....took off as someone recommended and back down to 3 plus minutes, which is still long, but how it was from the get go...if you need memory cleaner on, enable it will phone is on, it will clean when inactive or holstered...but if need to pull the battery or restart for any reason, then try to "disable" it.
On os6 now, I get 1 minute boot up times...literally. Big difference! Now on par with my home computer, lawl!

When it's booting, take note of how long it loads.
Try again and while it's booting, scroll the trackball/trackpad. The loading indicator will noticeably jump ahead faster. This always worked with my OS 5 devices.
My 9650 takes 2.5-3.0 minutes in OS6 and was 3.0-4.0 minutes in OS5, depending upon which OS version and apps were installed at the time.
I was pulling a fast one on ya'll, of course I'm not serious. Gosh!!!!
Thnx, Tripster
