Anyone know why RIM picked Casablanca for the default time zone?

    Inquiring minds want to know...

Maybe the programmer was a Humphrey Bogart fan.

It's it GMT? Greenwich Mean Time?

GMT: Greenwich Mean Time - World Time / Time in every Time Zone

Which is the main time zone that all time is based on, in the US, East time is GMT -5

"Play it again." That's the reason a new BlackBerry (under the skin) is so similar to all that have gone before.

I believe we have a winner here. Casablanca is at 0.00GMT so it now makes sense. Now I can sleep tonight.

It is a fun thread, but wasn't the actual quote,
"Play it, Sam, for old times' sake, play 'As Time Goes By'."
