release some form of a server-side optimized browser such as Bolt? IMHO (and many others), the BlackBerry browser is sturdy and reliable, but outdated.

No popular smartphone manufacturer that I can think of (and I could be wrong) has a server-side optimized browser by default. This could be a big selling point, and also takes up less bandwidth. Less bandwidth is good for the carriers, who should step up and insist such features from handset manufacturers.

Sounds like a good idea. Why don't you pitch the idea to RIM?

With their resources maybe they can buy the makers of the Opera Mini or Bolt browsers.

I'm hoping maybe RIM employs ninjas that read the forums.

    Ninja's? Where?

But isn't it rumoured that RIM will release a new version of its outdated browser later this year?
