Now, she never tells or asks me anything. For example, if I tell her something like, text Bob," instead of her asking which Bob or what I would like the message to be, she says nothing an it automatically goes to the list of Bob's or what I want the message to be. Or when I'm done with my message, she never asks me if I want to send, edit or cancel. The parts where she talks never happens anymore.

Mine also did this on my Passport...I reset the phone and it fixed the issue.
I tried hunting through settings and more settings but there was nothing about BB Assistant audio.

Did you try resetting?

I switched to the UK voice option and did a hard reset and it fixed my issue on passport

Mine is doing the same thing. She won't even read messages to me anymore. I feel slighted.
I've changed the options for the Assistant and even rebooted without any luck. I haven't tried changing the language. I'm giving that a try now.

I just changed the language for the Assistant and rebooted. When I did that, she started talking to me again.

The latest updates has given me a few bugs. Nothing major but still little annoyances here and there. Hopefully a fix is coming soon.

Same with me. Both Z10 and Q10 on Verizon. Nothing to do with Verizon. Clearly device related. Just won't speak.

Actually same problem here just showed up on my Passport on Virgin in Canada. Strange.

I did ask her what she thought of Siri recently and she may have gotten offended.

Well it seems after hard reset of my passport she back again talking up a storm in British English.

I've tried every suggestion and she simply won't speak. (Did not do a wipe and reload yet. Not sure it's worth the effort, until I'm out of all options, though I may be there already.)

I got it to talk with the voice switch, but when I ask it to read my last BBM all it says is "Opening BBM". It used to work great in 10.2.1 but looks like BlackBerry made it worse in 10.3.

Mine worked like 3 or 4 times total and now nothing no matter what I do. Oh well. The best voice recognition that I have ever experienced is Alexa from Amazon. Nothing can top her

So, for weeks and weeks, mine stopped speaking. Did every suggestion mentioned anywhere I could find one. Yesterday, for the first time in a long time, I needed to swap batteries in my Z10. When it rebooted, guess who was all talkative again?

I wish that resetting the language and rebooting would have worked for me. Tried it twice, set it to UK English, rebooted, no luck, then set it back to English and rebooted, no luck. For someone who got theirs working, can you possibly post how your other settings are? Maybe there is some "magic" combination of setting by which she will talk to me again. Thanks.

So, I was having this issue, when one day I needed to swap batteries and voil�, it worked again. Recently, stopped speaking, again. So, I launched assistant, selected a different language (English UK), turned every option off and rebooted. Turned every option on, selected English US, rebooted. Started speaking again. Worth a try.
