The 9700 had the best battery life of any phone I've owned. It could actually go more then a day easily.

I guess . I had ton of BBOS devices and the only one that I felt had disappointing battery life was the 9900.

Many of them were actually pretty awesome for battery. the 9700 for example, was incredible in that sense for me
i had the 9800 and 9810 and while i loved it, battery life sucked.

Interesting. I had 9800. Wasn't a 9700 but still comfortably got through a full day for me all the time.

Everyone is biased against the pre BB10 devices. They would crash have little to no apps and horrible battery. No one really knows how good BB10 really is because the trend is iPhones / Galaxy Sx devices.

I've never had anyone IRL or online (twitter) comment about my BlackBerry. I've shown the screen to people all the time and they don't seem to notice. I really wish someone would freak out about my BlackBerry.

I go through all the trouble and hassle to own one and no one even cares.

9800 was much worse than the 9810 in all aspects. 9810 worked better, still horrible battery life. Glad the 9800 worked out for you.

Still think BlackBerry is the best ... too bad more people don't realize that. Hope they survive and prosper because the current duopoly isn't the best for consumers. Choice is good.

Agreed, the app sucks, needs the latest features, be better off if it was just a launcher to the mobile app. But like most of us at cb I still love my BlackBerry devices

Yes it does. How do you expect me to go out in the world, perform at work, live a happy life, and remain mentally strong if random strangers on the street think I should be using a different phone? I can't think of anything beyond world peace....OK, forget that, nothing is more important than having the feeling that I am using the phone everyone wants me to use. Let's be honest here, what people think of me is more important than oxygen.

I still use a BlackBerry and always will. It's something that works for me and my unique needs. Considering how iPhone has become the McDonald's of smartphones, it's quite the unique position to be able to still proudly use a BlackBerry.

Understood, but I'm not sure Blackberry is what it was. Now it's going Android. Makes it a bit difficult to make that argument.

BBOS devices basically, the tenancy to crash, wipe themselves, awful batteries ect, gave BlackBerry a bad name, just like Symbian, both older devices where crap, but the newer ones where not, once they get into their heads that a BlackBerry is this that and the other it's stuck there.
Yeah that's true ,BlackBerry os legacy devices were made for only productivity and sucked at everything else. my friend's phone had 5 mpx camera my curve 1.3, camera flash? No, fast os? No, crashing and hanging? Yes, taking eternity to reboot? Yes, applications? No.. I mean it checked all the incorrect boxes and unchecked all the correct ones... after 3 painful years with my curve I was done with BlackBerry.. I was going over to the droid world but then I came across a beauty ......z30 she was amazing..she made me love blackberry again..though I miss a pkb sometimes but my z30 she's good in quickly reminding me why my relationship with curve could not work out.

I still have my Z10. While it's not my daily driver, I still enjoy getting it out to use from time to time.

I find my Z10 to have an absolutely beautiful screen. It's very nice to look at. I like to customize it with wallpapers that are colorful and detailed.

Add in the fact that YouTube videos still play when minimized and it's an incredible device.

Lol. I was at a birthday dinner with some friends. One of their wives saw my Passport on the table and poked fun at me. Something to the effect of the fact that every time she hears something (bad) mentioned about BlackBerry she always thinks of me and the fact I still use one. I said oh well -- I do a lot of emailing and the PKB and Hub are awesome.

Yeah weird how people pay attention to things like that. I sure didn't bring it up.

Yep. Speaking of that I listen to the Berryflow podcasts on both my LG G2 and Passport in the browser. Passport never has a hiccup. Background it in an active frame to do something else and it works great. But on Android using Chrome the MP3 oddly stops playing at times. Almost seems like other apps interfere somehow.

BlackBerry 10 seems to be a lot better in that respect.

Yeah - I take some heat too, but it's worth every second of it.

My signature line on my personal email says "Sent from my Blackberry Smartphone", but has a second line that says "A Berry a day keeps the Apples away".

    Stole that shamelessly from someone.

BB forever! Well, until they quit making them. Then I would be REALLY screwed.
