I bought a Storm on eBay before Christmas. It was registered to Vodafone but I unlocked it and I'm using it pay-as-you-go with Virgin.

The lock button has stopped working, but RIM won't repair it, saying that the warranty is with Vodafone!

I don't think Vodafone will repair it out of the kindness of their hearts as I don't have a contract with them.

Has anyone experienced this problem? And do you have any advice?

    Thanks,

    Kat

Voda device on T-Mo... sold through eBay. They will probably all try to walk away, saying the warranty is part of the original contract with the original owner.

You can't provide a valid authorized sellers receipt. Therefor you might not have a warranty.
