I use between 6000 and 8000 minutes most months. My mom texts infrequently, my dad doesn't text at all, and I have a few friend who also don't text! I also just started seeing a guy who texts a lot, but I love his voice so I nag him to call me. I have unlimited data/text/voice with AT&T so I don't worry about it.

I think texting is going to take over in the future and the carriers will charge more for texting and less for minutes. hahah

I use the phone, yes. But because of the bad contract conditions here in Germany I'm always below 60min/month.

Being with T-Mobile, I have a "MyFive Faves" plan and sadly enough, those are most of the people I talk to so my minute plan can be pretty low. I still get free nights and weekends AND Mobile to Mobile. With all that, I could almost get by with no minutes Besides, I have unlimited texting and data so I do a lot of communicating that way.

I was actually thinking that myself after reading how these providers are all raising their texting rates. What a racket

I barely talk anymore, I get more texts and emails these days.. So much easier to get txt for work stuff, maybe a call from a late client now and then, that's about it.

I have a 900 minute plan with unlimited data. My wife has unlimited minutes and everything else, she will burn 2000 in a week easy. But with me I use Blackberry messaging and text most of the time. My boys back home all have Blackberries so we just hit each other up on the IM. So I always have rollover minutes.

I probably use the phone 1-2x a day on average. But there are definitely days that I don't use it, or find myself on it 8x or more.

I average around 1500-1600 a month, but I have only had the BB for a month, so that can change.

on a 1000 minute plan. Use 700-1000 peak minutes a month. 2000-3000 if I include Nights & Weekends and Mobile To Mobile.

Might have to upgrade to 1500 peak minutes since I've started going over.

My wife, my son and I were using 550 and going over a little. Now that I added my twelve year old twins (boys) I went to the 1400 mins plan on verizon. Will have to monitor to see if this is enough.
