I was messing with Google Maps on my wife's 9650, but when I clicked on "my location", my actual location was triangulated by the cell towers. Similar to my Curve 8320, which doesn't have GPS. Although I can't be sure that I checked all the folders and icons, I don't see any mention of GPS settings, if such a thing exists. Am I overlooking something? Shouldn't Google Maps show my exact location?

    Under options go to:
    1) Advance Options
    2) GPS

Under GPS Services make sure Location On is selected.

Once Location Aiding is enabled it should show your location within a few meters. It pinpoints my location to within 3 meters which I think is pretty darn good for a cell phone GPS.

Interestingly on my bold I notice that google maps is very accurate and it will show even which part(room) of my house I'm in, while BB maps(lame) can be up to 1/8 mile off in pinpointing my location. I always use google anyway, just mentioning.

Newbie here. Is Google maps an app or do you just go to Google maps in the browser? And if you go to Google maps in the browser, what's the URL?

    Thanks

It is an app that goes onto your phone.

go to m.google.com/maps from your phone to download it.
