I have an 8320 Curve from T-Mobile. In BB Maps the help files say I should have a choice under Find Location of "Where I Am". This choice doesn't appear so I am having difficulty bringing the map to my current location without providing an address.

I would appreciate any suggestions for getting BB Maps on to the current location.

Alternatively, I have tried Google Maps, but I don't see the BB Maps functions for copying a location into an email or SMS message and sending it to someone else. If there is a way to do this in Google Maps, then I could dispense with BB Maps.

Any suggestions on this alternative would also be appreciated.

The 8320 does not have internal GPS...

    To add:

In order to get BB Maps to work properly, and any other GPS based software, you'll need an external GPS device then you have many options. In the meantime you can settle for GoogleMaps triangulation method which can be vaguely accurate at times.

The Google app says it is accurate to 700 meters where I am right now. I gather that is as good as triangulation can provide. That's fine, but I don't have the BB Maps functions in Google Maps, e.g. sending my current location in an email.

If I get an external GPS and connect it via Bluetooth, will the missing menu choices appear in BB Maps?
