if you just open an email attachment does it take up your memory ?
i attached pictures to an email and sent it to myself and it said the email was only 1.2K worth of memory.
the pictures were attached but it was my choice to download or open
I think they are stored on the BIS server until you open the attachment and then it downloads them to your device. I would guess that it would take up available memory on you berry. I know when I open Word or Excel files with Docs To Go and select Edit with Docs To Go it saves the attachment to my memory card.

Yes the messages are saved to the phone for the time period that you select. I don't use outlook, but I doubt that it would take up any significant amount to memory.

Go to a message and open an attachment (a picture, for example). It has do download the image. Go back to that email the next day and when you open the image it opens immediately. That means it is on your phone. I searched all over in FileScout and I can't find where the files go to.

Bumping
This refers to posting with the deliberate intention to either pad your post count or to keep a thread 'hot' so it appears at the top of the forum. Bumping can sometimes be useful, but you must wait three days from the original post to bump the thread. Only one bump is allowed per thread per user. CrackBerry.com's moderators reserve the right to delete useless bumps at their discretion.
Did you not see what I wrote? Only way to get rid of it is to delete the email that had the attachment off the BB. Then the temp files will come off the attachment database.
