I am currently stuck in a 3 year contract with Bell on my 9900, and since I am only 1 year in it will be costly for me to upgrade to the 10 I am thinking of waiting until the next (11?) comes out. Can someone give me a rough estimate on when that will be? In 2 years, is there a high chance another blackberry will come out that's newer than the 10?
BB9900 really sucks, the keyboard is awesome but the OS is extremely slow.

I think you should plan on contacting Bell, once the phones are out, and pestering them to let you do some sort of trade/swap. I really doubt you'll be content to wait two years before you upgrade to BB10.

(And no, we have no details of future stuff, but it's obvious to anyone who has been watching for the last two years that there will be ongoing incremental upgrades during the life of this OS. 10.1, 11, doesn't matter what you call it, it's going to keep getting better.)

well BB10 is the OS but i'm sure there will be other models running BB10, there is rumors of the Aristo coming out in august which is a quad core 4.6"

By the time the BlackBerry 11 series is designed, prototyped, tested, and released your grandchildren will be collecting a pension. BlackBerry 10 has yet to be released so you can either endure the BlackBerry Bold 9900 or pay off-contract price for a BlackBerry 10 smartphone. Presumably, the same SIM should work in both devices.

i wonder if there are plaans for future versions to do away with the app grid as we know it

why dont you sell your 9900 and find a cheap used bb10 around the end of next year on craigslist or ebay? in the meantime you can update the operating software to the latest one in the 9900 forum itll run much better than 7.0
