I ran it from cmd to view the problem and what it says.

"Could not connect to Blackberry Device Manager"

"Error: Could not connect to Blackberry Device Manager"

I have Blackberry desktop software and link installed, I uninstalled both, re installed link, nothing. uninstalled link, re installed BDS, nothing. re downloaded the autoloaders (for z10 and q10) and nothing works.
Tried same on several other computers, results are the same.

    Help!

Do you have BlackBerry Link open on your CPU when trying to run the autoloader?

Reboot both, make sure link is shut down, better yet go into preferences for link and uncheck link startup on phone detection and uncheck wireless connect if there is one, reboot, start again with autoloader

Link is any BB service is shut down on my laptop.

Downloaded an autoloader directly from BB site. When launched either directly, or via command prompt, it will supply the same error.

    I'm stumped

Try on a different Windows machine, just to be sure....

    :-)

If it still doesn't work on a "clean" PC, likelihood is it's a problem with the device. Also check the cable. Try USB 2 and 3 ports. Link still works?

Considering it states "Could not connect" and not "Bad command or filename", I would say that it is uncompressed just fine.
