I cannot buy a phone just to accommodate whatsapp
and I cannot lose my connections that are on there

Nothing. This has been known for month to give you time to move on.

If you don't want to use another phone, you'll just have to use sms, or another messenger.

If you absolutely need whatsapp, then you'll need another device.

Those are your options.

BB can do nothing and will do nothing. This is a business decision by WhatApp to only support platforms with the greatest return on investment, IOS/Android. Windows phone users may be next on the schedule.

People have found workarounds using the Android app with WAA Fixer, Nemory's Whatsup10 or Disa. All them have varying issues of lack of features or compatibility with BB10 that make moving troublesome.

You have until the end of June to make a decision, I'd wait til closer to then.

It's funny that bb10 stop making hardware, all the complaint like no tomorrow. The what's app stop support bb, the compliant is on this site, not directed to their head quarter.

This does not include BlackBerry - Android devices -- only BB10 and Legacy (BBOS) devices.

And, this has been discussed in many, many threads already.
