    Hello Every One,

We all know there are different blackberry types available but many folks shopping for a blackberry would often ask which model or type is the best. Some one asked me that quetion last week and I really couldn't give a definite answer.

If an intending blackberry buyer walks up to you to ask for the best blackberry model or type to buy, what will be your answer?

Its hard for me not to say the Tour becuse mine has been so good to me, but I guess the 9650 would be the best BlackBerry available. Also, it is with the best network so that is another plus. My sentimental favorite is the 8330 though. I have always loved that device.

Of all of the BlackBerry devices I personally like the Pearl (non flip) devices best.
Nice that RIM did not abandon that form factor.

From everything I've owned in BB's, the Bold 9000 was the best that I owned.
That was the most comfortable BB I ever typed on.

I love the Bold 9000.... My first one broke and didn't have second thoughts about getting another one. I love how easy it is to type on, and just the size it self. Now that I have my new one and upgraded to the OS 5.0, I love it even more. Now it the slider comes out to AT&T and its like what they are saying its going to be then I might switch to that, but until then the 9000.

Clearly. But we're talking about a fun question here to see who will roger up with what. No need to bring out the curmudgeon. Christ.

Anyhow, for me, Curve 8530. Why? Because I hate touch screen, it's got WIFI, and it's the only model I've ever really used.

Really? I wouldn't have taken you for a Pearl fan, but I will agree with you, I think that it is going to be a great device. I read somewhere that there are going to be two versions to the keypad; a suretype and regular dial pad. Which one are you favoring?

Bold 9700, provided it DOESN'T have the leaning/crooked/loose trackpad issue.

However, I'd just love for RIM to take the Bold 9000, give it the 9700's camera and trackpad, and call it a day. That's my DREAM BlackBerry. I loved the 9000's keyboard and construction.

I've been a fan of the Pearl since 2007 and were it not for the fact that
another member here needed it more than me (I had an 8310 at the time) I'd
    still have it.

As to the keyboard, I prefer the SureType version. To me the Pearl has the
absolute best keyboard of any BlackBerry before or since.

    Agreed!

SureType and the size of the Pearl made it my favorite. For me, I need what the 9700 has now for me to have still had a Pearl. 3g, trackpad, memory & faster processor.

Typing came easy, especially after having all my words in the dictionary. I found that I could type faster on my Pearl than any other form factor; one handed or two handed.

    +1, 100%
If they made one of those I would consider leaving VZW... I probably wouldn't, but I would think about it!

I love my Tour, I like the layout, and how it feels in the hand. That's my vote.
