    I dont know about where you live, but running Opera on Verizon's 3G is FAST where im at. Amazingly fast. Much faster than the iPhone.
    LOL. What does AT&T network has to do with the other person's post? It doesn't matter, anyway you cut it. Wifi is fast than ATT, VZW, Sprint etc.... 3G download and upload speeds is not faster whether you're using the Storm or iPhone. Wifi beats 3G speed any day.

    It's a big deal for us Canadians. Our data plans tend to be limited to 500mbs.

    The short list of reasons:

    slingbox
    Skype
    flash video (when available)
    streaming...well anything
    using your phone on a plane
    voice and data at the same time
    improved browsing
    sending and receiving large files via email faster
    data in other countries (it is a world phone you know)
    when 3G data is unavailable (I know it is Verizon, but it does happen)
    prevents hitting the data cap (for those that have one)
