    Hey,

What is the difference between the 9360 and the leaked 9320? From what it looks like the only difference is that the 9320 will have a smaller screen, a worse camera and has a HSPA radio. It looks like the same CPU and everything else. Is there something I am missing? I know that these leaks may be incorrect, or could be fake.

I believe the purpose of the 2 new leaked curves is to provide emerging markets abroad with lower cost (and lower spec'd) devices. Not everyone can spend hundreds of dollars on a phone and some carriers over seas dont subsidize the price of the phones with contracts.

    As MJS416 said,

The leaked Curves are intended for Emerging markets, so they are spec'd according to pricepoints they can be sold at full retail in the market.

Some countries still operate with 2G networks, the added cost of all the bells and whistles most of us add make getting into smartphones too challenging. And as Thorsten said there are millions of feature phone users who still need to be enticed over to smartphones, these curves with BBM and low cost builds will be the conversion from featurephone to smartphone and dataplans.

The 9320, is intended to replace the 85XX devices that are still being made and sold today in alternate markets

Will they be sold in the US? Maybe for the prepaid carriers?

i guess they're releasing these phones to sustain their growth in nigeria and south africa or some other third world country where blackberry is seeing rapid growth. i really hope though they pick up again in north america where it truly matters!

It would be nice if someone like Virgin Mobile USA picked them up, and sold them for around $99. Or if RIM sold them unlocked for around the same price.

guys. I'm planning to buy BB phone. I'm confused between buying bb curve 9320 and curve 9360? I've read that the 9360 has better screen resolution than the 9320 but the 9320 has higher battery capacity than 9360. so please help me decide what phone to buy. what are your thoughts and suggestions? thanks!

I recommend to choose BB curve with HSPA spect, because even your carrier not support yet it's still can use edge and once your carrier already support to 3G you already got full speed in hspa, for me speed is important for checking email, bbm, browsing etc

Both have it. The resolution on the 9320 is very useable. I have a 8530 that is the same resolution, and it look fine. The 9360 has a better camera and screen still though. The battery in the 9320 is better, but the 9360 should last you a day or more. It also depends on your budget, if you don't want to spend a whole lot, go for the 9320, if you have the cash, go for the 9360. The 9320 is also around the same performance of the 9360.
