Blackberry 9000 or Curve 8900? I can get them both used for about $250.

Or Should I just wait until the new 9700 goes down in price a bit bc bb with trackballs will look dated soon? Thanks

If you wait until the price for the 9700 goes down then it will be the old dared looking devise just like the 9000 or 8900 looks now. So I would say wait and save your money for the 8910. Then you will have the latest top of the line device. What do you think?

I would go ahead and get a 9700 or 9000. I've had my 9000 for a year and feel no need to replace it. It's a great BB.

+1 what Dvx67 said. My Bold is almost 15 months old and feels just as solid as the day I got it

I think I just saw someone selling a 9700 on the marketplace here for $250. Whether that's still available or not, I don't know. But if you can get a 9700 for that price, that's what I'd do.

if you dont have an upgrade and cant get the 9700, I'd say the 9000 is the best buy for your money. JMO

My refurbished 9000 is still rock solid with no (knock wood) problems of any kind after nearly 18 months of use. There is the ongoing debate of why or why not a refurbished unit is superior to a new unit. I don't know if my experience is typical but I will definitely only get refurbs from now on. Thread search the term refurb vs new to get an earful from both sides.
