Just wondering guys...what was your first BlackBerry device? What were your experiences with it? Post pics as well. Share your BlackBerry experiences!
My first BlackBerry was the 7250 for Verizon. It still works after 5 years . That was a great, solid device.
The year was 2006 when I picked up an 8703e by Verizon...my cousin was working for them at the time and he actually seemed less interested in it; I believe it was because it was issued to him at the time. I, personally, fell in love with the keyboard and the simple fact you were able to actually type a URL to view a somewhat legitimate website.
I owned a Samsung Blade at the time (awesome phone for its time and kicked the Razr's ) and so this being my first BlackBerry was also my first smartphone; the name wasn't even catching at that time if I'm correct.
This was me, in the middle rocking out to something stupid on the porch and quite inebriated at the time.
I miss that good ol' 8703e aka The Tank. That thing really took one of a beating and the screen lasted better than most protectors out on the market today.
I salute you "The Tank" - and thank you for your service.
It all started with the 8310 for me, it still works but the trackball keeps falling out. Every now and again I slap the sim card in it for the sake of nostalgia.
my first was an 8310 that i got in 2008, an upgrade from a Motorola razr. dont have a pic on hand but it was an awesome phone that travelled around the world with me without fail! ive had three more bb's since then and currently carry the 9860 which i love but nothing will compare to my first!
It was a 9000 that I really abused. It still works, despite the paint totally worn off that key. I am going to donate it to AT&T, since they have a program where they recycle phones and use the proceeds toward phones for servicemen/women in the military.
My 1st one was the 8350i for Nextel. Although I don't have a picture of it handy here is one off the Web I found. It came in black but for a short time it was available in red. Mine was red and a great starter.
My first BlackBerry was the 8130 Pearl. I was coming from years of dual carrying various Motorola clamshell phones (Timeport, V60c, RAZR, RAZR2) and Palm and WinMo PDAs. Loved the SureType keyboard, I think to this day I can still type faster on that than a full QWERTY.

8703e was an awesome phone! My aunt had one and I was jealous. Nice pic
I can't find a picture of the silver 8130 that was my first BlackBerry. I do have a pic of my second one, a sweet 8830 that I thought was just the ultimate phone. Didn't care that it didn't have a camera, or really couldn't do MMS. I found CrackBerry because of this phone, and trying to fix the low ringer volume. I have left, come back, left, and come back again. It is worse than a bad habit.
