I have been interested in learning more about other models of BlackBerries. I had the 8520 as my first Berry on T-mobile. Upgraded to the 9700 Bold and switched to Sprint's Tour within a week because of problems I had with T-mobile's service. Then used a 8530 and quickly switched back to the Tour. I had endless problems with the Tour and complained to Sprint about these problems and got a 9650 Bold. I had a tough time deciding if the 9650 or the 9700 was better, but decided that the 9650 is. I love the Tour's look and style, and the 9650 continued that style. Looks wise, the Tour wins. Phone wise, 9650 wins. I haven't used very many Berries though. Was looking for input because I enjoy learning about technology, and BlackBerries a lot specifically. So what's your favourites!? And why?

Or a certain technology, my first and second BBs had a trackwheel (7290 & 8700c) and I LOVED that technology, and still miss it, but the trackpad is a close second. Trackball I never liked.

I really like my current device too, my 9650, BUT I'm looking lovingly at the 9800, but I'm not sure if I really want to change providers AND I want to see 6.0 on my 9650 before I make ANY decisions!

It's a tough call, each has their pro's and con's. The first I owned was the 8330 and it was a solidly built phone! But the technology of the 9650 blows it out of the water.

8330 was a work horse for me, but I'm loving the 9650. I wouldn't mind rocking the new 9800 though.

Very true statement. I love and miss my curve 8520. As my first berry, and my first smartphone, I won't forget I, haha. I miss the frost blue color too. It rocked!

I'm on my 4th BB! Went from an 8830 to 8330 then to the Tour and now I have the Bold 9650, of all the units I like the 9650 best, mine has given me no trouble at all!

I LOVED - LOVE - my little burgundy 8310! I still have it and I actually have gone back to it. It was my first personal BBerry.

My favourite work Blackberry was the 8703. That thing was indestructible. My second favourite was the 8830 - served me well in a very extreme work situation.

I've always been partial to the design of the Bold 9000. I've never owned one, never been on a GSM carrier for that matter, but just the look of that device is awesome. I'd love it if RIM threw a trackpad and 512mb on that sucker and released it. It's about the only device that would make me consider switching carriers... even though I probably wouldn't.
Now if they'd do that and make a CDMA version... Hmmmmmmmmmm...

If it's not the Bold 9000, I think the Tour 9630/Bold 9650 has the best form factor, a close second to the Bold 9000. It's proportionate, well laid out, and feels good in the hand.

I do have fond feelings to my old 8330...

Solid build (made in Canada!), fast, incredible speakers, fantastic keyboard...I could go on but I'm starting to drool
She's a little out of date and I'm using an Onyx (9700) now, but I'd love to see it get updated and released! I'm holding out on the Torch in case they do

has to be without a doubt the Bold 9650 It is awesome. I have had the Tour and there is a vast difference between them. I even think the Tour feels better. It has a more spacious qwerty keypad. I do feel a difference in it. I have had the Curve 8530 . I also had the world edition a long long time ago.

    1. 7290 - trackwheel, adjustable brightness, super fast to type on.

    2. 8310 - very tough, dauntless phone with fantastic functionality.

Bold 9000 the sheer size of the phone is what I love, pretty tough but the downside on my Canadian Made 9000 was the Mute/Standby key broke *internal mechanism quit registering* unless it was smacked against a table then it would work again... Now if the newer models would have been the size of the Bold, I would be using one now!

My favorite modern BB was the Bold 9000. It looked great, had a wonderful keyboard, and the width of the device made it a joy to type on.

Of all the BB's it would be the 8700c, still had the scroll wheel, and a wonderful screen for the time. Unfortunately that device had a short life for me, it suffered a horrible run in with a concrete curb outside a schlotzsky's on my way to lunch one day

A close second would be the 7290, that thing was built like a TANK!
