I do love the Bold 9900 but there are some nuances that really irk me. The biggest one though is having to do a reset everytime an app is updated.
If there are others let me know. Thanks.

Camera.
Plain and simple. Not very good for recording video (although tolerable) or taking any pictures. Taking pictures of printed text or close up shots really annoy me.
Constant Reboots after app updates are clear second place. Battery Pulls would be tied for 2nd place if that was possible...
For me, it's the lack of apps. I have several apps I use daily on my iPhone, including medical coding apps for work, that are not available on BlackBerry.
Camera also sucks.
Annoyance is about it with the reboot/update dealio, but I work on computer equipment all day, it annoys me there too.:D
Predictability. Sometimes my playbook is the best, then MOST times its hit or miss. The cursor is too sensitive, doesn't always appear, the screen blacks out to half a screen as if in portrait mode. JUST STABILIZE WHAT WE HAVE SO FAR!!! Then RIM can go back to the late promises and underwhelming delivering.
I would say lack of apps, reboots after app updates, and battery pulls.
My biggest complaint is BlackBerry is measured by what others like Apple can do. I hear folks crying about Skype and other apps but I am pleased with my 9930 and 64gig PlayBook. RIM needs to advertise better also.
Mine are the battery pulls/screen freezes and poor advertising
batt pulls and advertising
people really pull there battery that much? I find that amazing because I cant recall the last time I pull the battery.
How about all of the "ABOVE", not trying to be funny, but there all a "pet peeve" for me
Lack of apps for sure.
I voted poor marketing. The other options are small annoyances that bother me little, except for the camera. I have a 9860 and think the camera is awesome!
Personally, I'm ticked off every time I try to take a close up with the 9930. When compared to the iPhone and the Skyrocket, it makes me scream.
WHY make such a terrible mistake with the camera???? I know that I could carry a point and shoot, and I do. But really....
None of the above. The only gripe I have is the volume buttons on my 9900 that one automatically hits when pulling the phone out of the case. I have also disabled the convenience button because of that. Real bad design.
All of the things that were mentioned above bother me to some extent. But long term my biggest problem is RIM constantly obsoleting products. I have a 9800 Torch, it is about 14 months old. I can't get OS7 on it, because RIM has not released it. To get OS7, I would need to buy a 9810/9850/9860. The 9800 was bought with a carrier subsidy, and I cannot get another phone for at least another year and a half. If I were to get say a 9810, it will not run BB10, which will be out in 6 months. RIM constantly obsoleting products just over a year old is a good way to lose customers, and they will lose me. If Android phones can go for a couple of major releases before becoming obsolete, and iPhones can too (look at a 3GS, it has gone from iOS 3 to iOS5.1), why can't RIM devices? I understand that some functionality that is in new devices can't be brought into an older device, but the 9800 should be able to run on OS7, without perhaps the hotspot ability, or some of the other advanced features. I don't want to hear about the lack of memory; RIM should have looked forward enough to know that the OS7 was on the horizon and put enough memory in the 9800 to let it run OS7, if somewhat slower than the newer devices.
I have my 9800 for work, and an iPhone for personal use, and there is no way I will be buying another RIM device without having a clear cut roadmap of future upgradeability of the potential new device. Apple has said that their devices are good for 2 major OS releases. What is RIM's position, either with the OS7 devices, or with BB10 devices? I have never seen anything from RIM about this.
Kostas
Maybe battery pulls, but really, a uber-minor issue, and not worthy of a nano-second of thought; otherwise, nothing....RIM/BB/PB is A OK with me.
My Biggest pet peeve isn't on the list
My Biggest pet peeve is that I can't export and import my Auto Text list,
When I get a series of new products I need to Auto text each one manually with little (TM)'s or add descriptions to part numbers,
and then when I get a new BlackBerry I get to do it all again, I also can't share Auto text library's with people!
THAT BY FAR is my biggest pet peeve
I have many small ones still
i know this has been discussed before and i thought some people were able to do it. Thru selective restore or device switch wizard. I might be wrong though
I agree with you, especially about the past phones like getting os7. i'm in the same situation, although I do understand them not letting older phones get bb10 because it is such a big change for BB's,and they are trying to make these new phones "the new phones" being independent and different from the other phones for a lack of better way of explaining it. but I believe that all older phones, or atleast somehwat recent older ones should get os7 for sure. jus my opinion
Really, what is it with the constant battery pull statements :confused:
I rarely pulled my battery on my 9800 and now on my 9810 I have yet to pull the battery once.
I don't mind the rebooting after app upgrades anymore on my 9810, most of the time it's fast :eek:
yea i don't even pull often and I have the 9650 still haha. and when i need to I just do that lil alt uppercase delete shortcut and it only takes a second.
Still doesn't allow export, ideally export would allow editing in excel for bulk editing
That there is fragmentation at its finest, my boy. It really baffles me how an in house developed platform becomes this way even under the SAME manufacturer. But really the blame points to Java though. And going forward bb10 with resolve this, however of course this leaves all past customers completely behind & in the dark, which remains to be seen how that will be handled. That's my biggest gripe with blackberry.
2nd would be the Playbook. Pretty much since day 1 i have had it, I have not been able to use it because i don't have a blackberry phone.

1.) RIM Took far to long to get their !@#$%^ together on the 9900 and Playbook;
2.) Their development pace is far to slow for the industry;
3.) They suck at marketing;
4.) RIM took way to long to recognize the changing market and rested on their laurels of security and mail;
5.) Wait...what was the question again. I think I was getting ready to rage on RIM endlessly for letting their customer base fall apart. ooops. My bad.
Love my BB9900 and Playbook!! BUT I am still pissed at RIM for a years worth of crap!
