Before my work budget cut my BB, they did upgrade me from a 7290 to an 8700c, now THAT sucker was a TANK! Still have some love for it, and some regard for the trackwheel system they used to use on that and of course the 7290.
I briefly used a 7230 and hated the thing. I was given a 7290 and did not use it for 3 months because I "just knew" I'd hate the thing. Well, I loved it. My only complaint withthe 7290 was that the ringtones were too quiet.
I really did not know what I was doing with a BlackBerry. I went to the BlackBerry site and downloaded what I THOUGT was Desktop Manager. I actually downloaded a new OS for the 7290 and of course, when I installed this on my PC, nothing happened - duh.
Later I downloaded DM (v4.3 If I remember). I connected my phone to the PC and DM upgraded the OS without me knowing it. I'm watching the screen thinking wtf as all these files are being copied.
Since then I have had no fear whatsoever of OS upgrades.
I then got an 8100 then several 8310s, an 8900 and now I have the 9700 running OS6.
The Torch 9800 is my first Blackberry. Now that I used the BB I was like why the heck didnt I get a BB in the past. Amazing phone. Prior to the 9800, i had a multitude of Nokia phones, then the iphone, HTC Hero (Android).
I cant see myself with anything other than the BB.
8300, Cingular. Just finished my 3rd year as a BlackBerry owner. Though I did support them at work for 5 years prior to that, I'm not important enough to warrant being issued a work BB. My BlackBerries have always been MINE.

My first was the 8700, then 8120 Pearl, then 8320 Curve, then 9700 Bold. All on T-Mobile! Considering the new 9780 when it comes out next week! LOVE BB!
For work, first one was either the ugly black one then the ugly blue one...or the other way around, can't remember. Then an 8703. Then an 8830WE. Then a Tour. Then an 8530 and now the 9650, which is AWESOME!
Personal, a little burgundy 8310, then 9000, then a 9700, just bought a 9300 and a Torch and now waiting for a red 9780.
I have a problem....
