What to upgrade to?
Hey all,
I am upgrading from my Bold 9700 in December, just wondering what the snazziest device is on the market for me to choose :)
Any feedback on a device would be much appreciated, thank you!
P.S. I've been looking at the Torch but I'm not sure if I'd like the touch screen, any feedback on this device would be great too!

If you liked your 9700, Then you will love the new 9900...:)

I am upgrading shortly, well once I decide on which to choose. I like the 9900 form factor, but the camera quality is extremely important. I will pay attention to this thread!

i went from a 9700 to Torch 9810 and i'm happy with it. runs really great, kind of miss the form factor of a Bold and might switch to a 9900 soon but really like the 9810. i'd say you can't go wrong with either the 9810 or 9900.
both will be a huge improvement over the 9700 and you'll be more then happy with an upgrade to one of those.

Yep as said above the 9900 is by far the best and obvious choice. I came from a torch and have found the Bold 9900 is faster and easier to use in every way. Typing on the 9900 really is as good as every one says. Other than a lack of Flash, I can't fault it.
I seldom use the camera so I am unable to contribute to that part of your post.

I'm on a 9900 now and I love the original form factor, the keyboard, and os7 is wonderful on this device.
I had a 9800 previously. I really did like the extra screen space and I still had a keyboard for all my typing. I know some people didn't like the slider style of the phone so you need to take that into consideration, but it never bothered me and I had no problems using it.
So if you like the Bold form factor you'd probably love the 9900 (especially with the amazing keyboard). But the Torch is a wonderful phone also. It depends on which style you prefer. I'd say to go to the store and play around with both for awhile. For me, I just missed the original candy bar style. I don't miss the extra screen space I had before either.

Wow everyone I really appreciate the responses!
Great to hear from you all :)
The 9900 seems to be a hands down choice, it does sound like the ideal upgrade coming form the 9700.
I look forward to it :) can't come soon enough!! My 9700 didn't "auto on" like it was supposed to yesterday morning and my alarm didn't even turn it on :( pushed a few buttons when I FINALLY woke up and it rebooted.
Don't know why but like I said... Eager for the upgrade :)
Thanks everyone!

I have a the 9700 and personally I don't see anything that really catches my eye at the moment. Love the themes and battery life on the 9700, it's a workhorse and does exactly what I need and does it very well.
