I was gone in Iraq for a year and when I got back I was quickly informed that people no longer call, they text... LMAO It was a bit of culture shock, but I'm adapting.

I have to add to my previous post... now that I have discovered my hidden talents (brickbreaker) I need to add games. I also added Blackjack.
I typically spend around 2000-3000 minutes a month of talk time, around 300-400 SMS, and buttloads of emailing... I absolutely get my money's worth out of my Sprint Simply Everything Plan!!!!!! I am a technological social butterfly

I have never really liked talking on the phone.. I hate silence...
I prefer texting bbming or even just talking thru emails..
I have more minutes then I need which is kinda funny, but I've convinced almost all of my close friends to go aTT/BLACKBERRY...

I hate talking on the phone. Even though I have the option to hear a voice, I would much rather talk in person. I prefer to sms, mms, email and IM.
That's exactly how I am, I can't stand the awkward 'phone silence'. I always ignore calls then text people back, I think my friends hate me for that haha. I average about 200 minutes a month and that's a lot to me.

Guess I have to say all of the above.

The main reason I got a phone back in 92, was due to me not being home, and having to call home to get messages. If you are not home for several days at a time, you can miss a few time sensitive calls, even when you check you home answering machine/VM several times a day

Emails have really helped in the last few years at work, but even with a laptop, I might still have to use the client's phone line for dial up, if wireless internet access is not a option. And I'd rather not impose unless it just can't be done any other way.

So the BB fits those situations when I can't use my laptop, allowing me to still get email, or go online to view the email though my ISP's webmail portal.

Work, friends and family can leave voice mail, email or txt, allowing me to get back to them when I can.

I just want to know, what type of person are you? Do you like to talk on the phone, send/receive text messages, or just deal with emails?

When I first got my BB I was a big email person, then I realized that texting was a lot faster! (Do'h! I know lol).

As far as phone calls, only when I'm in the mood for it, otherwise I stick to my BB messenger/text messages.

I've also gotten into picture messaging, BB messenger makes this a whole lot easier!

All of the above ... but,

    SMS charges are insulting.

I've trained most of my contacts to email me. Those who don't or can't, I respond with email-to-text.
