Hello,

Just got bb 9700 wifi and data. This is the first time I've been signed up with data and wanted to know what takes precedence wifi or data? For example on my phone i see the wifi symbol and it shows me that i'm connected to my network. I also see the 3g symbol.

So when I get an email or go on the internet, what service does it use?

Wi-Fi as long as the symbol is fully lit up and running (not greyed out).

I believe my wifi symbol stayed the same...the only thing I noticed is the name of my network is displayed on the screen at the top so I assume that I'm connected to my network.

I can't find it on 5.0 but I know older OS versions had the option where you could set the connection to "wi-fi preferred" or "mobile network preferred" or something. Or maybe it was just my 8900 and it had that because of the uma feature...
