Hi just wondering if you could explain what this does.

While your at it go ahead and re-register your device with the wireless network again. Go to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table >Hit Menu >Register Now...

It re-registers your phone to your carriers network. Sometimes the
entries get corrupted and need to be resent.

For instance, every once in a while a person will lose their browser
icon, re-registering the phone almost always gets it back.

It registers the device with your network. This makes it send the service books that control what plan you have....email, data, sms, MMS things of that nature. Its common to do after wiping the device or upgrading the OS.

Unless I am missing something re-registering does nothing about
the service books. It simply resets you device to the carrier
network. The only way to get the service books is to resend them.

You are one of a kind bro, always good for a laugh

On the other hand, the only time i really re-register my device is after I update my OS and if you lose your browser icon as AG stated in the above post. Resend your service books if you think your emails are delayed or not coming through as usual, i also do this after every update as well...

Awww, thanks for the love SD. And, indeed, that is the only time I re-register as well.

If anyone DOES want to resend your service books, it's pretty easy. It can fix problems with data, and in particular not recieving email...

Open the Setup folder, then open email Setup, sign on, then press the BB button and select Service Books, then Send Service Books.
