what is the life expectancy of bb keyboard?

let's assume that the user hasn't dropped the bb on the ground. I am refering to the new keyboard of bold.

I would expect the life expectancy of the keyboard to far surpass that of the trackball. The keyboard seems sturdy and well put together. The trackballs seem prone to malfunction.

Yeah, I agree. The BB keyboard has a pretty good shelf life, while the trackball, not so much.

Sorry... If you were looking for a specific number of months or years to answer your question, that may be a question for RIM's QA department.

    +1 That's what I love about it.

I was somewhat shock to see this questioned as if they don't last that long. Then again I've never owned a Cell Phone for more than 6 months since they were PayGo and I tend to upgrade.

This BOLD is my first Contract and hope it last at least 3 years. LOL
