I'm just curious to know. I've owned like 3 different BlackBerry smartphones over the years (the 8120, the 8220, and the 9700) before switching to the iPhone and Android. I know my reasons for leaving by for you loyal BlackBerry users, why have you chosen to stay? Also, do you regret your decision?

I have owned a BlackBerry since 2003 so I guess there is some brand loyalty on my part. I lived though the curve and Torch and several other devices before getting the Z10. I have tried other platforms, including the Apple 4S and the Galaxy S2, but both times I ended up returning to Blackberry.

Why should we??? No other phone can give us the typing, email, stability, security, and overall experience that the BlackBerry gives. I stay loyal cuz im afraid I'll miss something amazing which I got with the BlackBerry Z10. I almost fell for the iPhone 5 (which by the way has a new update that's a ripoff of BB10 but i may buy) while waiting for the BlackBerry Z10 to release. My main reason for keeping me BlackBerry Z10 is bc of the underlying OS underneath the BBOS, Android API, Java and Adobe Air known to be the 'Space grade technology' for NASA and runs in the dashboards of mostly all of the most innovative cars in the world called QNX.

    With all due respect... really?
Nothing wrong with iPhone and Android (most) devices at all. Everybody has their choice. Go find a BB10 device and spend a couple of hours with it, then you'll know why.

My Z10 and PlayBook both do what I need them to do. Nothing more complicated than that. I'm sure the other devices would do what I want as well. It's a little like owning a car, a toaster or almost anything else. We don't all drive the same cars, use the same toasters or whatever. Brand variety is good to have, as long as the brands work for you..and BlackBerry works for me.

???? Do u ask people why they drive a certain car, shop at a certain store etc? Every device and ecosystem has its purpose. I like the expandable memory, removable battery, keyboard, email and data integration, security and so much more in the BlackBerry ecosystem. At the same time u see the value in IOS and Android for certain demographics.

The keyboards and the email. BlackBerry is for messaging an typing and that's what I do most with a device.

I think for me, it's just I've become so adapted to the user interface (or given BB10 the Blackberry experience) I can't seem to find "home" in another OS. Don't get me wrong, I have looked at Android devices (great devices) however the look and feel of the OS just never felt the same. Due to personal prejudice I'd probably never look at Apple (again good device, just not for me), so Blackberry is where it is for me. Just hope the company can collectively get their acts straight.

    Because Z10

I'm a bit of an impulse buyer. When I find a product that does what I need and want I buy it(budget permitting )

I saw BlackBerry 10's potential in my PlayBook and the wait for the Z10 was painful but when I got the opportunity to get a Z10 at the right price I didn't hesitate in buying it and I have zero regrets. I could have had any device but I chose the Z10 and would choose the Z10 again over anything on the market.

I have a year left on my contract so that is why I stay. In a year is a long time in smartphone time. I am still on the sidelines - perhaps the A10 may convince me but a year from now should see new phones from Apple and Google. My biggest issue with BB10 is the browser and font size. Right now I see no advantage (for me) in the Q10 over the 9900 because of the font.

Consistency of experience. Compared to my Android phone, by BB phones have consistently done the core, essential tasks well: emailing (typing and management,) peripheral Bluetooth device handling, calendar/task management, etc. I've also found the OS on BBs (the pre-BB10 ones, at least) easier to update. But the real winner (again, with pre-BB10 phones) has been data compression. I've gotten away with murder on a 200MB plan.

And no, I don't regret my decision.

I bought a PlayBook a year ago. Because the tablet OS was so fluid I've fallen in love with it. I got a Z10 as soon as was available and now I'm even developing for it

BB10 may not be the best solution for everyone, but sure is the most beautiful

I switched to the Z10 from the iPhone and I like the operating system more than anything else that is out there. Doesn't mean I'll stay with Blackberry if they don't keep innovating.
