Bold 9700 using OS5. Only bb I have owned and will hold it until BB10 comes out and my 3 year contract is up. Might hold it longer, its a workhorse and has taken so much punishment but keeps giving and giving.

My favorite BB thus far is the Bold 9900/9930, but there will ALWAYS be something nostalgic about my first BB, the Curve 8330. THAT was a TANK, and it felt so "right" in my hands.

The PB is hard to put in this poll since it's in a different league. Hard to compare tablets and phones in the same poll. But when it comes to tablets in general (all platforms), PlayBook is my favorite by far.

Hey I love my 9930, but nothing had more rock solid reliabilty than my 8330. You could drop it down a flight of stairs then pick it up and make a phone call! It was 3 years old when I gave it away last year and it along with original battery are still going strong. What a tank! Takes a beatin and keeps on tickin.
I had a Curve 8320 and I dropped that thing down the stairs so many times I'm surprised it still worked.

I'm rocking my 2 favourite right now and really couldn't make a 100% clear winner,
Bold 9900 and Curve 8330 both so wonderful for their own reasons

8330 was a great phone. IMO RIM hasn't built a phone that was as comfortable to use as that one. I still see people using them and get a little nostalgic. If I could get a mint condition one I would buy it.

9900 for sure, but the PlayBook comes in a very close second. I really have to add though that the 8310 was the one that sold me on BB in the first place.

    I just did that

my 9300 died, and my office had 8330's sitting around, I could wait 3 days and get a 9360 to replace my 9300, OR I could get a 8330 now, and wait till summer for a 9790,

I jumped on the chance to get a 8330 again and I truly am loving it

I can't believe the love of the 8330. I've got tons of them, many with trackball issues. The resale on them is like $3, compared to the 8310s that get closer to $50. In the spirit of the Pay it Forward thread, I'll send one out to the first two people that PM me for one, US mailing addresses only. Let me know if you want the standard battery and back or the Seidio extended battery and back. Please respond only if you really will use it.

I guess it would have to be The Bold. 9900. Best BlackBerry device to date, but there will always be a soft spot in my heart for my 7250!! Still have it too.

the 8310s are GSM, the 8330's were CDMA hence the lower resale value, here on Kijiji 8330's are $50-100 in mint condition

I can sell 8700's for more than the 8330's. Maybe I need a hookup to the Canadian kijiji

That's how I felt about the 9000. I've dropped it on concrete more times than I can count on my hands and feet and it STILL works (except for the trackball)!

The thing about BlackBerrys, people never feel the need to upgrade them because they just don't BREAK! They're too well-made. ;P

Well i have the dilemma that i couldn't leave my 9780's behind for a 9900.
Because it was just working out so well and i thought i wouldn't need anything else.
But now you see, it eventually got me turned on and now i have 9900.
So that will be same for me when the BB10 devices are out.

I agree 100% with byul. I was forced to upgrade to the 9800 from the 9000 after the trackball broke (after 2.5 yr of daily service) and it never felt right. Only 11 months later, I got the 9900 and it felt right in my hands again... except the layout of the keyboard (QWERTY instead of QWERTZ). The 9000 is still in service for calls and texts for travelling outside of Canada because it doesn't require the trackball.

It's impossible to let go of our 'firsts'. I don't think I've ever had this sort of affinity toward an inanimate object before. haha

RIM has a big obstacle to overcome with the BB10 phones, against the competition and its own historic line-up.

Did you enter CBs 5 year Birthday contest? If you win, you can ask for almost anything....even a BB10 phone! I'd probably make the switch to one, depending on how I like em. Time will tell.

Hahah. Yeah i entered the contest to try out my luck.^^ Well what is luck for me.
Never ever in my life i won something that i really like..
Well i left a comment behind and we will see who's the lucky one. I never ever participated,
    within a contest though.
It's always those silly nOObies that will win those prices. arrgg
It amazes me how much comments are getting posted when they are having an contest.
But this time i'm just giving it a shot and hope i can be lucky one!
If i don't win it, i then will eventually end buying out the stuff if i really like.
