    Hi guys,

    Just helping a friend who just bought a new BB Bold 9700.

    The Host routing table has no data at all. I tried getting her to register the phone but that doesn't work.

    I can't seem to find her Email settings so she can download the service books.

    I also can't log into her BIS (Vodafone) online as it says the phone is not registered.

    Any advice please asap?

    The last resort is to do a battery pull with the phone on and then remove the sim
    card and pop everything back in. If those service books aren't pushed by then,
    she needs to call the carrier and tell them to put her on the correct BB data plan.

    Most likely cause is that the BB data component is not correctly activated on the account. That's a Customer Service issue with the carrier.

    You might be able to check this by testing with a known good BlackBerry enabled SIM.

    Thanks guys, I will let her know about the above info. My feeling is there is no data plan but she is already paying a load per a month!
