What is happening regarding BlackBerry Mobile phones?
- Such a pity that TCL could not learn from a public relations exercise which they failed miserably on.
They had a customer base using business machines blackberry keyone and key2 and its variants including the Blackberry red.
And they made improvements as they went or maybe not.
Failing to keep engaged with their new customer base, means that most of the customer base will not be buying TCL products going forward, and it is unlikely that those customers companies will be buying from TCL.
Just because a Small Part of your business fails does not mean to say that you should read the rest of your business potential which TCR sadly have done and it is not easy to recover from that.
They might be able to convert their happy deathmass to a prosperous New Year if they get get their communications right.
Such as a public apology for the lack of communication with their customer base.
Just like BBAndroid was targeted to Android customers and not BB10 customers. It’s moving forward to where success lies and leaving failure behind.12-25-19 07:57 AMLike 0 - TCL wants to put as much distance as possible between it’s BBMo failure and it’s TCL customers of it’s other product lines such as TVs and traditional appliances.

Going forward that stinking reputation on communication, will bowl over to a stinky reputation on products and services company ride no matter what what label they put on, to disguise the facts.
Because they have not communicated properly with their clientele and customers they're likely to get this rub off on the sales of other products.
And it's reputation with BB Android tarnished because of the lack of communication will rub off on to every aspect of their business as a result they are likely to go bust in about 5 years.
Unless they change their attitude to Communications.
This is not the ferengi Alliance from Starfleet.
This is the earth wide Alliance of customer base, you cannot afford to do damage with a lack of communication. And this applies not just a TCL but to Blackberry Limited as well.
Even corporates are looking to distance himself from Blackberry Ltd moving fully to Samsung Knox or fully to Apple and even Lenovo.12-25-19 08:35 AMLike 0 - Honestly I don't find their lack of communication on the matter a problem at all. I do not see their name tarnished at all either. I do agree they made some nice products but if they can't sell them to enough people and its not a sustainable business then jumping ship is the right idea and i don't need to them to make any sort of statement.12-25-19 09:00 AMLike 3
- What you seem to forget is that TCL actually produced good products in the BlackBerry Android range. The lack of communication however reflects badly upon them.

TCL and BlackBerry Limited honour is at stake here. Going silent does not bring about honour or Trust.
Lack of communication of their Intent what has happened brings about of lack of honour and a lack of trust.12-25-19 09:25 AMLike 0 - You need 7000 pins for that. Less than 1-in 10000 actually speak out untill they are asked about why they no longer buy a particular company's products, then they let it all out. That is a Recipe For Disaster.

How many of those actually even know they have a device by TCL?
Then how many of those are even aware of security patches, updates, EOL, etc?
Then how many of those would be irritated by "lack of communication"?
Then how many of those would actually refuse to buy a future TCL product?

Every day that they fail to respect their customers with an answer, they hurt their company's reputation. From a "pure business perspective," this is much worse than a failed attempt at partnering with BlackBerry.funkymixx likes this.12-25-19 10:35 AMLike 1
- There were less than a million unique BBMo customers in total.

True they have good experience of good hardware for the majority.
But the sheer arrogance of the lack of communication, would seriously jeopardize those people recommending your services and products going forward in fact they will be a voice of Warning.
Over 80% of BlackBerry Android users are serious influences and should not be ignored by neglect.12-25-19 10:38 AMLike 0 - When people ask them for an update about BlackBerry Mobile, they should reply. They don't have any information regarding future products and will never reply to such questions.
Most likely, the contract with this company is up by the end of this year.12-25-19 10:39 AMLike 0 - When people ask them for an update about BlackBerry Mobile, they should reply. - Ask yourself the other question, how many of that 874320 unique customers would actually recommend TCL business processes and equipment etc going forward?

Be realistic with yourself and what you chose to support. We’re all in the same type situation. Mass acceptance of all people and their feelings isn’t a successful actual business model. People laugh at the idea of using BlackBerry phones and that’s just life. Failing at selling BlackBerry phones is something laughingly stupid and obvious to most consumers. Let it die silently is just obvious. TCL doesn’t care about us. There’s not enough of us to matter.Laura Knotek likes this.12-25-19 11:11 AMLike 1 - The problem is that BlackBerry Mobile failed because the number of customers is negligible. It’s like pretending BB10 customers were target for BBAndroid instead of Android customers. The failure won’t register with the consumer public. Far more people think BlackBerry failed years ago than exiting mobile three years ago.

Now, in failure, they are continuing to do a lousy job with the few who took a leap of faith in trying their products, which will ensure that they promptly exit the phone business and stick to low quality television sets.12-25-19 12:23 PMLike 0
