Well it looks like I have to get my 8900 replace since it did not work with none of the 3 ear pieces that I have as well as the ear plus that came with the phone.
For the longest time, I was using the Plantronics Voyager 855. My favorite thing about it was that it came with a second attachable earbud for stereo streaming. But I found that I was never using the feature once I bought a Moto S9HD for music. Also the 855 seemed to lack in noise cancellation.
So I decided to sell the 855 and buy a Jawbone 2 ($65 on Newegg). Best decision I ever made. The Jawbone has amazing noise cancellation and IMHO looks WAY better. Very sexy device. I had concidered doling out the cash for the new Jawbone Prime, but I couldn't justify $110 for a headset when one nearly as good costs almost half that.
These days, you could probably get an original Jawbone for about $35 and it will still be better than most Motos and the like.

Sennheiser MM200 here, it's a bit expensive but very well worth the money. Pairs with any BB I've used, A2DP and I only need to charge it about once a week (use it abt 2 hrs/day).
I use a BlueAnt Z9i. I've had it for about 9 months now (used it with my Curve 8320 before my 8900). It's pretty decent, except that it doesn't fit my ear too well, and when you turn it up loud enough, it starts to distort quite a bit.

have you done the patch update on the BlueAnt Z9i which should fix it.
I have the Motorola H715, which is the same as the H710 but with a micro-usb connector. You can pick this up at Costco around $50 or $60. You get a car charger, and since everything is micro-usb, you can use both the car/charger to charge your BB.
I mainly use the Apple In-ear headphones. (not the included ones, but the premium ones Apple sells) Great sound quality, and I can use the included button to answer/hangup calls.
