Hello,

I'm new to this forum and I figured what better place to ask for BB advice when I about to upgrade! So thanks for any advice yall give me!

I have the 8330 and I'm in the market for a phone that has all the features of this phone plus WI-FI. I love the camera with flash as I cant go with the 8530. I also do DO NOT like touch screens as my paws are waaay too big. So I've found the 9650 may be what I'm looking for. However I can't seem to get a clear answer. I also keep finding the cheapest find for this phone is a "flashed" verizon version. I also notice some of the bolds have different track ball systems. Any help would be great! Thanks....

On what carrier and in what country are you planning to use the device?

I'm with sprint and i'm in the us. When i go over seas, I don't use this phone.

options are the 8530, 9650 and the new curve. I recommend the 9650 as I don't like the curve series.

Yhank you soooo much!!! I had the owner of this 9650 tell me it didnt have wi-fi.

it does (have wifi) but if your with sprint, I don't think you'll be able to get a Verizon Bold on the sprint network, they won't allow the ESN add to their system, you would need a Sprint bold

if you absolutly NEED flash then get the 9650 if you don't need it then get the 9330.

Get the 9650. Make sure it is a Sprint branded device. You will not be able to use a device branded to another carrier.

I just have one last question - are there any variations of the sprint 9650? I've noticed one has the round, black trackball and the other has the flat track screen. No matter what though all the 9650's have wi-fi though right? Thanks again...

The only "variation" is that there is a version without a camera. Both have WiFi.

The Bold 9650 has a trackpad.

If you are seeing a device with a trackball, it most likely is the Tour 9630. And it doesn't have WiFi.
