Heya! Looking to buy a 16gb SD card for my 9700, or a 32gb if they are available. I have never done this before and have no idea what/where to look. Any suggestions would help. Thanks!

I would say go for a Sandisk SDcard and you can get them at like walmart or any other big store for a decent price.

Personally I've bought them from ebay all the time (have bought 2 16gb and 1 8gb) - no complaints. Oh, and it's rumoured that 32gb/64gb 'will' be coming out in a few months - but we know how rumours work haha.

Btw if this is for your bb then it takes micro sd cards, not sd - just incase you weren't aware!

Oh - and just as an extra - 'Adata' brand cards seem to be less expensive generally and I find them to work a-ok for me - forgot to mention that before!

Any brand will work fine. I would recommend looking carefully at the card and make sure it's a "Class 6". I've read out there that most of the Microsd card on eBay are class 2, meaning it's slower to read and write. Your music will take awhile to load.

I got a pretty good deal on mine at Radio Shack, it's their Gigaware brand. As the salesman and my husband pointed out, that sort of thing is generally OEMed and probably made in the same factory as Sandisk or some other major brand XD It's class 2, but seems to load my podcasts pretty fast, so I haven't noticed any speed problems with it thus far. It's 4 gig and I think I paid about $30 for it. Of course now I see on their site they have the 8 gig one on sale for that lol.

i got my wife a Sandisk from Target and it comes with, i guess they're called adaptors, so if you want to upload it into another device it'll fit...sorry for my lack of techno-jargon!

Wow, I paid $18 for an 8 gig class 6 in July from Amazon.com. And that was after shipping. It's a Transcend, and works beautifully.
