It's all personal preference. Do you like slide phones, flip phones, bar phones, touch screen, physical keyboard....There is no BEST; it's what each person likes best. My friend for example loves the storm, the touch screen and how it clicks down and everything. I myself hate that aspect of it...I love my 8330.

For me it would have to be the Curve 8310 cause that's what I own...

Between the 9530, Pearl, 8900, and now the 9300, I'll say the 9300. That's from my history with Blackberries, not from what somebody has said.

I will answer this from a personal point of view:

Bold 9650, nice screen, lots of memory, trackpad, basically nice all-around high end Blackberry smartphone, plus world roaming capability is a big plus and nice to have as well.

Having had several different models over the last 23 months, I'd say 9650

Personally, my FAVOURITE was the 8700, but its becoming useless in today's expandable-media, camera-snapping, media-sharing world

In my opinion the 9000 was the best model made to date. It had great sound quality, loved the bigger, higher-resolution screen, had the "luxury-style" leather backing, and a comfortable keyboard.

Favourable features at the time of its release were expandable memory, one of the first Wifi-enabled BB's, (ditto to 3G) I love the 9700, but chose to go back to the 9000 for its larger screen, better keyboard and to escape this lagging/freezing that both mine and two friends found with the 9700.

    Another useless thread.

Any answer you get here will be subjective as we all favor the device we chose for ourselves.

    "Best" cannot be objective.

The latest model will certainly have features which some will like whilst others prefer the way it was.

I think that the 9700 is by far the best phone that I have ever owned but then, I don't like touch screen only devices and I have never favored phones that have major moving parts like hinges and sliders.

I have also not had the chance to try out the new 9780 which is similar to my phone but with a better camera and double the memory.

Since I live in Europe, I have nenver used a CDMA phone either.

Depends on your carrier. I think its pretty subjective. Nice thing about BBs is they offer their phones on pretty much every carrier so your have a good selection. In my opinion on CDMA the 9650 and GSM the 9700 but thats because I dont care for touchscreens. Where I live Verizon has the best service and currently no cap on data like AT&T so I picked the 9650. IMO the carriers more important than anything. No sense having a great phone and never getting service.

    /Thread.

I had T-Mobile and had no service where I lived. AT&T has been great here.
