Well, its almost a month ever since Im here and I have heard about this BES AND BIS on the bb website and also somewhere here in the forums. Maybe its a pretty lame question to ask, but it would be really kind of someone if he explains to me what exactly is BES & BIS nd what is the use of t?

BIS is a legacy feature only though as BB10 could never play nice an BB gave up on trying to integrate them. BES still exists but for a general consumer its nothing you have or will need

BES is something (a software service) your company might buy to manage and secure a fleet of phones (can be non BlackBerry as well). BIS is something (also a service) your cell phone carrier used to have to provide you to use an older BlackBerry phone (OS 7 and lower). Both basically route all your data through BlackBerry's network operations center in order to provide/add services/security/compression of data.

That's a very general summary...

But you don't need either of these just to use a BlackBerry nowadays.
