I've just purchased a bold (my first blackberry ) and I am LOVING it

But one thing has been concerning me, so I was hoping someone here would be able to help me.

Basically, when I connect to my school's wifi, the following problems happen:

    1. Sometimes the signal is so weak that I can't connect, even though people on laptops around me are clearly on the internet. Is the Bold's/Blackberry wifi supposed to be much weaker than laptop wifi?
    2. Sometimes it says that I am connected, but when I load up my browser, pages don't load-- so basically I'm not connected.

So basically, the wifi is very unreliable. Is it something to do with my campus internet, or my phone (the phone itself, or settings)? It's driving me crazy, so any help would be great.

The wifi is fine at home, and can connect reliably, so hopefully it's not my phones problem!

    Thanks!

Signal strength is important. I can detect a Wifi signal down to -90 dBm about 100 yards from the source.

A usable signal is more like -75 dBm, within 10 yards from the source.

Use the site survey tool to locate and verify the signal strength.

Connections / Wifi Options / Wifi Diagnostics / Site Survey.

Look for interference, multiple signals on the same channel but with different SSID.
