    Ive never had very good luck w syncing contacts and calendar between phone and laptop (duplicates, etc). So I'd really like to find an online backup website that works!! Ideas? I found zyb.com but it requires the purchase of a 3rd party app (not free) for the BB8830.

    you don't like the desktop manager? i use yahoo for contacts and calendar and it works great...sync's no problem.

    Yep you can backup everything to your desktop manager. If I am not mistaken VZW has some of back up application.
