It makes some people feel better which is fine. It does not help sales which has been proven.

Just simple blackBerry exposure to the masses. There are BB Z30s out there and there are people who love the phone,and while commenting, they show how good the BB OS 10 is.

This thread is the reason why polls like this mean nothing. Stacked votes = desperate fanboys.

What is this poll even supposed to establish? It would only be interesting if those who voted owned none of these devices. Then it would mean a lot more if people preferred one phone over the other. You could determine what matters most, the OS, the hardware, the support.

As it is currently presented, it seems as if the poll is predominantly voted upon by people who own either one of these devices (making it very likely that people vote for their device) or a device of the same platform (BlackBerry 10 users can only choose the Z30). In other words, that this poll would be turned into an uninteresting popularity contest was to be expected. The only unexpected thing was that it would be hijacked by BlackBerry users this time.

I'm a Z30 user. It is by far the best and most advanced BB to date. It's battery and abilities far outstrip any Iphone and most Androids. However, I had to vote for the M8 for several reasons. My usage of the device has me close to and/or plugged in and charging most of the day, most days, and even with the amazing battery, it is still true that certain usage will drain any battery within hours if you let it - streaming media and wifi hot-spot to name 2. So Z30s amazing battery life did not overcome the fit and finish of the HTC One (M8) - the uni-body aluminum construction, stereo speakers, 1080p screen are a joy to have. But for me, my frustration is the way so many Android apps perform on Blackberry. From media apps (amazon Music, Xfinity TV Go, Netflix), social media apps (Instagram), to games (Tetris - native not available on Z30 and compared to native experience on Z10 is horrible, but again this is just one of many examples) and a very few work tools ( though one must admit that this is a strength of the young platform). In the end, the question of what device you want to use for the next 2 years - is a question of what device will not make you covet another device to the point of distraction in the next 2 years. I could not honestly say I don't want a 1080p screen, a 64 bit quad core processor or more RAM. I love the platform but it needs work, and I know that many upgrades are coming. I have also been with blackberry for nearly a decade and recognize that many OS upgrades will not make it to this generation of devices in 18 months. Most Crackberry addicts are foaming at the mouth to see and/or possess the next generation of devices and where the platform will mature to, so I wonder how they can honestly say they will be happy with Z30 in 2 years from now.

I would get it if more apps were compatible with it. Z10 seems to be the most compatible phone so far.
