Recently, visual voice mail stopped working on my phone. I deleted and re-installed it a few times and finally gave up. Anyway, I was looking around on my phone and came across voice mail credentials. If you enter in your VM password, it is automatically typed in when you dial VM (press 1).
So, if you dial "1" and press speaker phone, it does the exact same thing without all the hassle.
