From prototype to product in days, not months
At the beginning of May 2011, QNX Software Systems approached Lixar, a company that designs and develops mobile web applications, and asked them to completely reskin a QNX-based head unit for Telematics Update on June 8. Lixar accepted the job � and the tight timeframe � even though they had no prior QNX experience.
A demo car, retrofitted with a QNX-based head unit, was recently on display at Telematics Update 2011 with this newly skinned UI. Atendees were able to see �living� proof of how the QNX CAR Application Platform could help cut some serious time to market.
