hey.. just bought the 9700.. i am a total newbie..
the rpob is that its a lot of time to receive files through bluetooth.. it takes like above 5 mins to receive small pic from another phone of maybe 1mb or so..
is this normal for blackberry phones or is there something im doing wrong?.. sending speed is awesome though....

I've got the same problem with my 9700. Files that should take several seconds take anything up to 20 minutes.

To answer your question, no it's not normal. I receive at around 80kb/sec. So a small pic would take a coupla seconds.

Is there something we are doing wrong, then? I turn Bluetooth on, go to the Media folder and select 'Receive Using Bluetooth' and then they send the file and I receive it. Then I usually go listen to a CD or something else that kills time.
