Just wondering and maybe even more hoping that BlackBerry and Verizon Wireless will have some sort of BlackBerry device for all of us who will be coming up on the end of our Z10 2 year contracts now that it's pretty clear we will not have access to the Passport.

Great phone indeed...but I'm bummed out about them not getting the Passport I am actually considering of jumping ship to AT&T for it.

I would but they just don't have the network for that to be an option for me and many others...I just have to think that a fair amount of z10 owners will have to make some hard choices come February and March. I'm also getting the impression that there will not be a cdma version of the passport and quite possibly any BlackBerry phones for the foreseeable future.

The classic will be in Verizon almost guaranteed. If the Passport picks up steam, maybe Verizon may reconsider it.... or at least see the easy opportunity to re-hook those Z10 early adopters into new contracts.

Why not just buy an unlocked one? Or don't upgrade. I never understood the need to have a new phone every year or two. Z10 will eventually get 10.3.

Yup. I think Verizon customers will have a better chance than Tmobile customers. I am interested in the Classic and will probably get one unlocked when the price goes down. I am quite happy with my Q10 and my kids love their Z10s. So, no rush here.

I'll be watching to see what BlackBerry has to offer in the coming months for Verizon, but am really not in a hurry as my Z10 is working well since launch day. I may take a look at the Classic, but not sure at this point till it comes out. Won't change carriers though as I have excellent coverage.

Verizon wireless cannot reconsider; ATT has an exclusive deal with BBY. It is likely at least a 1 year deal and VZW legally cannot offer the passport. Sorry it just ain't going to happen.
