Verify what BlackBerry Device Software is installed on your computer
My Curve 8320 (T-Mobile 4.2.2.180) performs well above my wildest dreams. Out of curiosity as I read another post I tried the following (verbatim from the blackberry.com site):
In Desktop Manager, click Help>About Desktop Manager.
Click the Device Software tab.
The Device Software tab lists the device system software installed on your computer. If the tab is blank, then no device software exists.
I discovered (as described above) my tab is indeed blank. Is this any cause for concern? Should I expect to see any OS entry listing? My original DM (4.2.2.14) was installed w/included CD in my Curve box in April. Installed flawlessly. Operates great (I actually only use DM to perform weekly backups of my device....Also, if this helps, I have NEVER used the APP Loader)
I am just curious as if this is normal and should I just move on. I'm a big believer in "If it ain't broke....don't fix it!" It may just be that I'm an engineer, but the curiosity is killing me.
Your feed back is greatly appreciated!
