So about to go on vacation. Little work involved. Which is the best BlackBerry to take?

Passport is obviously good if work involved but too big? Z30 is clean but camera not as good. Classic is great size.

    What are your thoughts?

If I were to go on a real vacation, I'd leave my devices behind, and take my nikon dslr.... but that's just me. Last 'vacation' I had, I was rocking a passport. A bit big, but look at the amount of 'work' you can do on it while on holiday?

That's the hard part, you try to leave work behind but having the Passport just in case you need it is reassuring.

I've already been to multiple vacations with my Passport and it would be the device I would recommend while on vacation.

As stated earlier, depending on your profession or business, work can never escape you while on vacation. During my last vacation this Christmas, I was at a theme park making modifications to a spreadsheet prepared by my staff in our office and emailed to me for approval before presenting to a client. I reviewed the spreadsheet, made modifications, emailed it back with my approval then enjoyed the rest of the day with my family. I left my Surface Pro at the hotel, which I still bring during vacations but no longer carry during the day as I rely on my Passport for light work. In fact during this two week vacation, I only fired up my Surface Pro once.

If you go abroad, take one of the OS7 ones. BIS data compression will save you bundle on roaming charges.

I take my passport as it's my personal phone anyway, (z10 for work) I don't worry too much about roaming as get it free in 20 countries with 3!
The passport is ideal it's like a mini tablet when you need to search things!

    Swiped on my beautiful Passport!

If you take the PP you might leave the optional tablet at home!

Part of it depends on where you are going and the risk of being pickpocketed / otherwise having the device stolen there.

Take your daily driver, put a local SIM in it. Give that number to someone who will only give it out if there is a real need to give it out. Enjoy your vacation.

And I might be old school here, take your pictures with a REAL camera. There is no comparison. I don't care how much you paid for your phone. REAL camera is still boss.

Having a 9930,q10,z30 passport and priv, I'd bring the Passport.
For pretty much 1 reason beside the regular obvious ones.
    Battery life.
It destroys all the other phones.
Don't need to worry about the battery going dead.
    2-3 days with ease
    4 days with light use.

Took a "little holiday" over the weekend.

Mmmhhh.... yesterday my battery drained fast with only a few hours of mixed use... I could see the life trickle out of it... :-(

I don't know, but the tower setup (edit: in that location) doesn't seem to be exceptionally battery friendly... :-D

Assuming you'll take a lot of photos with your phone and you need a great battery to do a full day and beyond, there's nothing better than Passport

Q10 with a spare battery and the charger bundle might beat it, at least in the battery department. (not the MPix)

See above story about battery drain... ^

My Z10 is perfect for vacations. Small, easy to stow away in a pocket or luggage, great screen for videos when wifi is available, easy to use. Battery life sucks but I love my phone as a travel companion nonetheless.

I take my T-Mobile Q10 with free data and Wi-Fi calling while on vacation. It's a good size, includes a removable battery and the T-Mobile International plan works well on it.

Being that I have a classic I think the passport would do justice due to the bigger screen and the keyboard. The classic is a great at pocketability but the screen is small compared to others and if you on a vacation, screen real estate is a huge factor.
