I plan to visit Greece for 2 weeks with my 9650 bold.

I was hoping to use a local pre-paid data sim card from Wind Hellas to access BIS, browsing, etc. and make and receive local calls and texts.

Wind has a pre-paid unlimited data plan (7 days for 14 euros). You just send a coded text to their number every 7 days for data. I purchase the sim at their store and pay for my data and estimated local phone charges.

    My questions are:
    1) Will I be able to access BIS?
    2) What steps/ procedures on my phone do I need to make to access or recognize Wind?
3)Will I be able to use Teather to use my laptop?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you

I don't know the answer to most of the questions but if you have Verizon, you will have to have your phone unlocked to allow foreign sim cards to work. If you have been a customer for a defined length of time and have your payments current, they will generally do it for free.
