I'm about to be put On-Call at my work and I'm trying to figure out how to have all messages from blahblahblah.com to be noticed as being part of a custom alert I created specifically for a "work" Contact. What I thought may be possible is to just at the domain information to the contact. Any ideas? Does this make sense?

You are going to want to make a Profile and Profile Exception for the contact.
Profiles > Advanced > Menu > New Profile. Name it and set up all of the tones you want for each setting. Next you'll go to Profiles > Advanced > Menu > New Exception. Make sure you select the profile that you created for "Use Profile"
