I have an old Storm 2 that has no SIM. I'm hoping to get this working for my daughter. The only thing she wants to do is take pictures and use her Outlook.com email account. When I enter Setup Wizard, Email setup, it says your email account cannot be configured because your device is not connected to the wireless network. I assume this is because I have no SIM because I'm connected to my wireless router and have internet access. Is there a way to get this to work?

There are two options for connecting to the Internet.

    1) register the phone (CDMA or GSM) with an appropriate carrier. If GSM, then you need to get a full size SIM card from the carrier.

    2) WiFi.

What I suspect, but can't confirm, is that you can't setup email accounts on the phone without Blackberry Internet Service (i.e., a cellular connection). Once you have it setup, you can certainly use WiFi to get email and web content.
