upgrading from standard cell to Curve or iTouch

Any thoughts on differences - using Curve or using regular cell phone for calls and iTouch for Internet and e-mail?

I just got my AT&T Curve about a week and a half ago...I love it!!!! This is my first BB or any smartphone for that matter. I regularly use an HP Ipaq 3715 for work purposes, but with my Curve I can eliminate my PDA.

I've looked at the iTouch also, but more as a entertainment device/iPod rather than a productive pda/phone. I think it'll come down to how you plan to use either device.

Obviously, you won't have a phone feature with the iTouch, and it currently works only on WiFi if I'm not mistaken. In that aspect, you will save yourself from paying on a monthly data plan with a service provider.

Again, I love my BB Curve and can't imagine going back to "just a cell phone" ever again! If you're looking for an all in one device...I'd recommend the BB Curve. The best advice is to get exactly what you want...you won't be happy any other way!

Best way to put this is this...why do you want to have to pay for and carry 2 devices when you can have 1 device do it all?

My thoughts on carrying two devices is that, as bkuni0624 mentions, the iTouch has no monthly carrying costs and perhaps better "entertainment" value - better Internet and use as an ipod - - however, i take the point that all in one is probably the way to go. Glad to hear you're enjoying your curve!

Simply put if the iTouch/iPhone had:

Push Email
GPS
MMS
Multiple SMS recipients

It could THEN be deemed the "Jesus Phone"

Until then, if you want the best of both worlds pick up the iTouch and keep your BB.
