My Blackberry 8520 has a 4.2 OS right now and I specifically want the 4.6 OS. I`m still trying to adjust to my Blackberry, lol, so I don't know if this question is out there or not but:

As I said, I have 4.2 OS right now, and I want the 4.6.
I know since the 4.6 came out, other ones have came out after that 4.6 an upgrade-

Is there anyway I can somehow still download the 4.6?
And how do I do that?

    Thanks in advance! =]

There hasn't been a device that shipped with OS 4.2 in ages. You need to check this

Go to Options > About. The 3rd line down is your OS. It will read like: 4.x.x.xxx

This of course assumes you do in fact mean 8520 and not 8320

What you need to do is find the 4.6 file for your phone. Then install it on a windows computer. Delete the Vendor.xml file and you should be good to go. Treat it as a beta OS.

    The 3rd line reads-
    v4.6.1.259 (platform 4.2.0.116)

I always assumed the numbers after 'platform' identified the OS,
is it the '4.6.1.259' that identifies it?

You are on 4.6 already. When viewing this ignore the Platform. The Application
is your OS version. Confused me at the start too.
